Angry New X5 in Car & Driver

My new C&D just came in the mail and it shows alot of the new '06 -'08 car models from all of the companies. There is an un-disguised, professional looking photo of the new X5...the same one we've seen on some posts here that looks like an X3 stretched a bit in all directions....skinny front end and all. I absolutely hate it and will be looking for a 2003 - 2005 X5 now to extend my enjoyment of the current body style longer. I'm really ashamed of the new feminine look of the X.

What are they thinking

I saw that this weekend. I have to be honest, I do not dislike it. I actually think it looks pretty good. A HECK of a lot better than other mock-ups we've seen in the past.

To each his own, obviously, but... I like it!

the picture we have all seen is actually the new X3 2.0 litter (European model) with new bumpers (photoshoped a bit). As far as how the next x5 will look like, nobody knows... All the pictures that have been seen so far are all "artist interpretations" ...whatever that means ... All we know, is that it will be longer and larger. Also one of the main BMW concern is to differentiate the X5 from the X3 even more, so I doubt that the new x5 would look like a big x3.

From this pics, I like the front end looks. It looks like a X5 but the tail end is a VW/ Porche look alike or even a X3. Don't like the back. just my .02

You mean there is a criteria
for the back end of an vehicle that sets it apart as gay? What's up with that?
