How to remove universal transmitter??

Looking to remove the universal transmitter and install the blank cover but don't see any obvious way.... any ideas?

It just snaps in and out. You may want to push (slide) it towards the rear before applying gentle persuasion on the front edge to pull it out.

See the home page where there are tips for hardwiring a V1. Same tips should apply for removing the universal opener.
