is there a front license plate holder?

or do i just screw it to the bumper? if there is can someone post a pic of what it is suppose to look like. thanks

Yes, there is a holder that attaches to the bumper for mounting the front license plate. I have one laying around (MD sent it to me many many moons ago) that I no longer need.

do you have to screw it in? My dealer gave me that but i really dont wanna have holes in my bumper. i still have not recieved my plates

on my '01, it took 2 pair; not familiar w/new models.

While I don't drive an X5, I also didn't want to drill holes in the front of my bumper. I made a front license plate bracket that mounts from the bottom. It looks like this:



You should be able to adapt this design to your X5 - details on how it was made are here .

Cool solution - I'm not a big fan of making holes in the bumper either

Have you looked in the spare tire well? Mine is located there on the left side of the spare under the cargo floor.
