04 4.4 with rough idle?

Anyone else experience this.
I took the truck in for its first oil change and got the truck back with a rough idle. I Left it there and they could not find anything wrong except that it is shaking at idle in park or in drive with my foot on the brake. Once I go, it runs nice and smooth as normal.
The DME is not showing any faults so they are not sure what the problem is. If anyone has experienced this, feel free to chime in. Thanks

They said they checked all the parameters such as idle speed and the latest software.
What sucks is i'm traveling across country and stopped at a dealership figuring an oil service would only take an hour max.

Happened to me in my 4.4 about 3 weeks ago. Turns out there's a TSB out having to do with the ValveTronic. They had my baby for a week but I have it back and it's all better.

I'll mention the valvetronic to the next dealer I run into in California. I'm in Arizona right now and the truck gets shipped this friday for Hawaii. I hope they can fix it in less than a week. Do you remember the TSB # ?

They also said they replaced the coil packs and that did not solve it.
The truck has been great as I started from VA a week ago. thanks for the input folks

Thats the first thing they checked as I mentioned that to the dealers. I remember a few m3 folks had bad coil packs.

Did you happen to have your AC on? I have found sometimes that my 04 4.4 seems a little rough sometimes in park or on the brake with the AC on. If you turn the AC off it stops, again it is sporadic at best.

After letting 3 dealerships looking at the truck for the annoying rough idle, BMW of Honolulu figured out the problem.

Faulty crankcase breather...they figured it out in about an hour and the truck is idling "good as new" again. The dealership in San Diego was sure it was a valvetronic issue and they were about to tear open the engine.
Glad its fixed and the idling problem was not internal.
