Front wheel fender flares, do I need to get the whole piece?

I have a 4.8is which doesn't include the protruding front flares. Do I need to replace the whole flares and buy new ones including the extra part? It's close to $300 per side... pretty darn expensive for a subtle yet convincing mod.

I do not believe the actual flare is sold seperately so, yes, unfortunately you will need to buy the entire wheel flare. I just had to do that when I had one of the flare bits come off of the rear of my 4.6....

I believe this is the front wheel arch with the flare (non-running boards):

I'm seriously thinking about making something myself.
