Gear selection / RPM and Head up display
While RPM's are nice, I would also like Gear Selection (I'm always in Manual mode). Anyway, thoughts on these things? |

would be nice to have a heads up display in the E53 but this unit uses some sort of extenal monitor to show the info. and there is no way i would mount that thing to my dashboard.

Those have some sort of sticker you have to mount on the windshield in which the HUD unit will have to bounce off of. DEFI used to make pretty descent ones with a lot more than just speed/rpm but they were still not as clear as integrated ones.

Here's the Defi hud. They make very nicely designed and high quality gauges in general: http://www.nippon-seiki.co.jp/defish.../svsd_top.html
