Help Self-Leveling System Inactive

I just had my 2003 X5 for 4 month and the self-leveling system inactive message is on the obc. The front suspension is lowered because of it. I saw some thread about checking the fuses and i did all seem to be working. I got a appointment at the dealer soon for this problem and im scared as hell of the price the stealers are gonna ask. If anyone had this problem what was the price it took to fix this problem or any suggestions on what i can do?

Is the front suspension sitting on the bump stops? does the frontend go back up when you start the truck up?

Thats not good! Mine did the same thing. They had to replace a faulty valve unit and both front air springs. The dealer told me when the front end bottoms out like that air springs get damaged and need to be replaced. This is what my invoice said. 19131 interogate falt memory.I dont want to scare you but they had my X for a month trying to figure out what was wrong and the valve unit was one of the last things they replaced. Tell them to check that vavle first!!! Mine was under warranty. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. I will tell them to check it. MY tough luck i just went over 70,000 and my warranty is void. But i did purchase a extended warranty hopefully they will be able to cover some of the charges. Damn i just have my X for 4 months too.
