Centric Rotors/Axxis pads or stock rotors/pads
Question: I love the stopping power of the OEM brakes, but I wouldn't mind getting brakes that didn't emit so much dust. Would you recommend using OEM rotors/pads and live with the dust, or get Centric rotors and Axxis pads. My two main concerns are to avoid warped rotors and to not use anything that is inferior (in terms of stopping power) to the OEM brakes, which I'm very happy with. Also, any tricks or special tools needed to remove the calipers or rotors? I'm handy with tools/cars...just never messed with brakes on a BMW and don't know what to expect. |

Axxis is great when it comes to dustless pads. However, there is a different feel with OEM.

stock BMW pads have too much initial bit IMO and the dust is terrible.

Try stock rotors and Axxis Deluxe pads...that's what I'm running and I couldn't be more pleased. Low dust, great stopping power and good pedal feel. I changed out the stock pads to Axxis Deluxe with only around 10,000 miles on them because I couldn't stand the mess anymore.

I'm using the axxis deluxe too. inexpensive and works fine. they didn't last as long as the OEM pads though. YMMV.

I love my Axxis Deluxe pads on Brembo rotors. I've got 50K on the pads and they still look less than 1/2 worn. I couldn't feel a difference in stopping power and they are a quiet as OEM.

Axxis dusts much less than OEM, but they tend to be hard on rotors and they squeal like a %$&*#$ especially during the summer...
I stick to OEM and live with dust.. Plus I like the better bite I get from them..
