Perplexing Problem- Front Right Turn Signal Works Sporadically

I have a 2002 X5. My front right turn signal USUALLY does not work. However, after getting a car wash, it will usually work for couple of hours. It will also sometimes work if I make a hard turn. Before discovering those situations, I had thought about replacing the bulb... but it seems that the bulb is working fine. I've tried wiggling the wires around, but I am not able to get the front right turn signal to work. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Thank you in advance!

The stupid AC voltage used for providing side marker feature really does a number on the cheap bulb sockets. I'm having the same problem but just bought high-temp conductive grease to help maintain a better contact. Note: This is not dielectric grease which is an insulator.
