Right-side CV boot repair / ride level sensor question
I have a 01 X5 3.0 with auto leveling xenons. I don't have the automatic leveling system on the suspension. I'm changing the CV boots on the right side and have discovered the "ride level sensor" which is connected to the sway bar. In TIS they tell you to check your headlight aiming after removing this sensor and I've seen on this forum where a few of you have had to take your vehicle back to the dealer for headlight aiming after they changed your right side CV boot. My question is for any of you DIY'ers who have done the work to replace your own right side CV boot. In doing the right side CV boot repair, is there a way to address the ride level sensor so that you don't mess anything up with it and end up having to do headlight aiming afterwards. Thanks.
