Front Door Panel Screw Removal = ?

I am trying to remove the drivers side fron door panel to acces the speaker. I have 4 screws off and one more to go, I think. Do I need to remove the screw behind the door pull trim (as seen in pic)? The screw doesn't move. I can't find the solution in any article.
Am I missing another step somewhere. The door panel is still not moving right in the center of the door.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,

you don't need to remove that screw,
just pull the door panel harder (lift it up little bit and pull it),
there are big metal clip behind the panel, that's what your panel holding.
Good luck!

If you really want to get at that torx bolt you need to remove the plastic cover. Start at the bottom edge of the cover with a wide flat blade and gently pry. It should come out fairly easily once you get it going.

I had to tighten that bolt a couple of days ago because the panel was squeaking when pulling on the handle.

you don't need to undo that screw

i have some good pics of what's behind the panel. the door has a "peg" like thing and the panel has the mating piece which slides down onto it.

pm me with your email address if you want 2 high-res (about 2 MB each) pics, one of the door, one of the panel. good luck!

Thanks for all you guys help. I will try using more pressure. Can't wait to get home.

Is it easy to attach the clip once you take the door panel off?

Thanks again.

Technically, you should twist the door panel (tilt one side up) in order to pop it loose from the clip. After you have removed the door panel, you can remove the clip from the door and reattach it to the door panel. That way when you reinstall the door panel, you will be able to just press it straight back on.

if ur interior door handles are lit, be sure not to pull too hard. u could crack
the clear plastic piece that allow the light to pass thru it and light up the door
handles.

I must be doing something wrong, but that clip will not budge. I have tried pulling, twisting, pressure from the inside with my arm bent in half. I don't know why it is giving me so much trouble. Any onther suggestions?
Thanks

Ever get this figured out? I'm having same trouble...didn't want to make a new thread... Top left of rear passenger door panel won't come off. Am I supposed to detach it from the sunshade? Because when I start to pull it out it wants to detach from the sunshade but I feel like I'm breaking it =S
