Axxis "Bite* vs. OEM Pad
Sorry for the repost...but this forum has more traffic than the tire forums...
It's been awhile since I've switched from the OEM to Axis Deluxe. I'm up for a brake pad change...and do recall that the OEM had quite a bit more bite than the Axiss Deluxe (my initial impression when I switched to Axis Deluxe). Alot of posters here have switched to the Deluxe....but alot seem to conclude similiar brake feel with the OEM. I know the OEM's are softer .....anyone care to shed 2 cents. |

I have noticed that my Axxis Deluxe pads take slightly more effort than the OEM's . Though noticeable, the Axxis effort does not even minimally effect the overall stopping power or performance of the vehicle. Considering the clean operation of the Axxis, it is a great advantage

OEM has more bite but Axxis/PBR response is more linear. You adapt to either pad in short order but the reduced dust of the Axxis is hard to give up once you've tried them. As JCL said, following the recommended bedding procedure greatly improves the performance of the Axxis pads.
