Drive side airbag upside down???

Hi all, I took off the driver side airbag (steering wheel airbag) for retrofitting the newer version one. I was told that the airbag must not be put upside down (the BMW logo must be faced upward). Just wonder what will happen if I put it upside down (the BMW logo is faced downward). Will I damaged the airbag by upsiding down it? Thanks for help!

Are you the Anti-christ and like things upside down? This is the funniest thread I've read in a long time... LOL...

C'mon, you drive a BMW, put it right side up or have someone do it for you...

What I meant is that I was told that (after taking off from the steering wheel) the driver side airbag must not be faced down (the BMW logo faces down) at anytime. In BMW TIS, it also mentions that the driver side airbag must be faced up after being taken off from steering wheel (the BMW logo must faces up). I just wonder if it is true and what will happen if I upside-down it (BMW logo faces down)?
