Uhaul sells a film that is tacky on one side that works great to lay down for a road trip if you have dogs that shed. It's about $14 and it is super easy to work with. 5 minutes of prevention saves 20 of frustration with a shop vac in hand. Been through a lot of the threads on this site and it looks like this is the place to find some gearheads like myself. |

:xoutpost:
Wouldn't it be more effective to wrap the film around the dog?

Welcome, and question. Is the idea to put the film sticky side down, just so that the hair is easier to vacuum off the film later? Not a bad idea.

My Jack Russel is not thrilled but he has been banished to the cargo area. I had it with all of the vacuuming I would have to do in my old Expedition to get the hair out!!
I considered buying the cargo area mat but it is not too bad to have to get the hair out of only one area. |

yeah, the tacky side allows the film to stick to the floor and sides that are carpeted in the cargo area. If you don't feel like using a vacuum, you can simply blow the hair out with some compressed air.
