Replacing a bulb??

Hi there everyone. I have a question. I just noticed the other day that the side mirrors actually have a light that points down and turns on when the car is unlocked. One of them is not lighting up. I was wondering how you replace those? I figured I would ask before starting to take stuff apart.

You just have to open the mirror covers

I had the same problem on my 2001 x5. Turns out the wire wasn't even connected to the bulb. Once I connected it, everything was fine.
