Thumbs up A Reason To Like The New Body Style

OK, I love my E53 and have not been a big fan of the new E70 boody style. I was driving the other day and saw a black 2007 X5 4.8 with black rims sitting at a dealership.

For the first time I really thought an E70 looked hot! I posted the pics in the E70 forum but I thought it would be cool to put a link here so all of the other E53 lovers like myself could see how cool an E70 can look:

Seeing a black 4.8 in person did it for me too. That and time, I guess it just needs to grow on you. I still love the look of the E53, but the E70 is the evolution..

I have to agree with some of the other posts - a little too much black. Now if they had left the rim of the lip silver or polished, hmmmmm.....

Still love my E53s - I still say the 4.4 engine was the best fit for mileage and performance - E70 has less mpg AND a smaller gas tank - I like getting over 400 miles to a tank vs 10-20% less

I dont like the 4.8 or those wheels. To be honest I think the new e70 with the Aero kit is much nicer. Here are some pics of a UK car that is owned by PeteM which is stunning.
