MP3 on X5 05 with DSP and back charger

Mine cant read them but some say theirs can!?!! What gives???

meaning the CD changer in the back

if so, then No, mine doesn't play either.
I believe only BMW business in dash CD player can play MP3, unless you have aftermarket CD changer which plays MP3.

My in dash receiver plays MP3s but the changer does not...the reason we didn't get NAV though now I am beginning to regret it.

I hate how our nav's have the tape player in the back of it. And then the m3's have the cd. it makes no sense why would bmw do that.

oh, it's like Ipod connector for your X5
you will need to disconnect your CD changer in the back trunk,
however why you need to use CD changer if you can play over 1000 songs with ipod.
