What my X5 worth?
OK, I just put a bid in on our first home. I could still afford the X but since this is our first home we have pretty much nothing to fill it with. So right now I'd rather have the cash from my X and purchese a cheaper more suited truck for hauling the utility trailer, tools, etc.......................... If I sold it privately what would I be looking to get for it? Theres a run down:
2000 X5 4.4i Sport Package 77k miles 8 out of 10 for condition, Not dents just some minor scratches. Most could be buffed out. Runs and drive excellent. Needs nothing to be a daily Driver Has a slight engine rumble at start up, common issue. Goes right away. 19" rims with new pirelli snow tires 22" rims with great conditon tires Lowering spring with endlinks Rear wheel spacers Heated seats M// Pedals Catch all floor mats Valentine Radar detector Remote starter Putnam Hitch with harness Painted trim 4.6 front and rear spoilers with rear flares Cleared headlights with AE's Tints Chrome exhaust tips Polished gauge rings Ebay Taillights, turn signals Custom sub mounted under cargo floor Rockford Amp hidden(stealthy) TV's in headrest Recently replaced radiator, water pump, CV boot, Valve gaskets, plugs, dash cluster Eclipse stereo/cd/dvd/navi will be removed. Heres a few pics ![]() ![]() [/IMG]http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e37/redzya/DSCF1263.jpg[/IMG] ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Reality blows...same feeling I had when they told me my 2004 was worth 27-28k.

Think I'd get the same if I brought it back to stock. And sell the aftermarket parts seperately. Or maybe someone would like it modded and I'd get alittle more?

Doubt a 2000 4.4 would come near the value of a 2004 4.4. Face lifted model, less miles, better motor, better fuel economy, pano-roofs....
Hopefully you shouldn't owe much, if anything on it. IMO, I wouldn't expect anything over 20k and I would sell you mods off, you'll make more money that way ![]() Take a look at prices: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/search...=&keywordsfyc= And this is private sales & dealers from the entire US: 2000's $29,995 Highest price $14,800 Lowest price $19,750 Average price 2004's $57,995 Highest price $24,995 Lowest price $35,407 Average price

I think Big R is in the ballpark...
20Gs maybe, from the right priv. buyer. The MY is pinching you and all the goodies are just that: goodies to you, maybe not to the next guy. It is clean, good looking and nice wheels. GL,mD

Thanks guys I was figuring $20-$21k with the mods to the right buyer. I get comments all the time on how it looks. I owe alittle over $8k. So $10k would be just what I'm looking to spend on a used beater. I think a big factory is finding a buyer with cash. A 2000 vehicle for this price would be hard to finance with a decent rate.
I really hate to get rid of it. It's treated me so good the last few years. In 2 years and I will be in the hunt for another BMW.

I think your rims are a something that a potential buyer is either going to love or hate. Me personally I think they take away from a beautiful X5. I really do love the look of the painted trim!! I think everything you have done to your X will definitely help it sell at a premium. I would sell the rims seperately.
What are the 19 inch rims? Type 87's would look fantastic!! |
