hey george, last time i saw you leaving bmw of fairfax service center, i thought somebody was driving my x, until i noticed that you didn't have alu. running boards on. there is something i want you and nova guys to know, when i make appointment with fairfax, they set me up the next day to drop off my vehicle, but when i make appointment with arlington they say they will have my vehicle checked in "15 days". darn, i dont know about sterling, but i think i will stay with fairfax. the reason i tried different dealers is that i want to "experience" their customer service and their service advisors. i have booked at arlington on the 24th of sept. ( i called in on the 9th) to have both of my vehicles checked because summer is over.

ROLF I'd stick with my SA in Fairfax. He has saved me tons of money on goodwill and freebees (Headlight replacement--not included in CPO, zero deductibles--shd. be $50, airbag light reset--free, alignment--free, etc.) anyway, good luck in Arlington, I heard some horror stories about them. Just ask Jwilburn. Some of my friends bring their cars in Sterling, service is fast but I heard techs aren't as good as Fairfax.

its kinda true about the x being clean. i wash the x every week, wax it every other week, clay it every other month. there is no ding, no dents on it, the paint is as good as when it rolled out of the show room. i dont use any other special stuff on the running boards. i am always a meguair's fan, i use their products for detailing jobs(i am not associated with their company in any way.) Here is something i do with the x every other month all using meguairs:
wash it, clay it, paint cleaner, paint polisher, wax, vacumm, interior wipe, leather cleaner, leather conditioner, clean wheels, dress wheels.

I love Sienna, I had a 2002 X5 in Sienna and it was the only one I ever saw in person. I had to order it to get one in that color. I didn't have the running boards, but I did add a 4.6is front spoiler painted Sienna. Same wheels though. I really miss it (until I get in my Sterling 2005 4.4 Sport?!)

i drive them both. one for long trip (and winter) and one for city. my wife just take whatever available at home (the one i am not driving that day) or she could just drive our gas saving/city driving/no headache/reliable/easy-to-use honda civic 2007. here it is

and i almost changed my license plate to this. but i changed my mind. it doesnt look good as it is too obvious "it is an x5" and "i live in nova". but the 4.6is exhaust make everyone think the x is much more powerful, its an 3.0. funny. i had it done by a shop in washington d.c a year ago. i bought the tips from morristownbmw. total job was $350 including the tips ($230).

Oooh I want the 4.6 tips as well! I need to post pics yes. The ones I have now all have me in them and no one would really care to see that.

Oh and just another reason not to go to Arlington. My guy at Fairfax discovered on Tuesday that Arling may have given me aftermarket non-bmw brakes. Plus whomever changed them also apparently put on a bunch of anti-squeel goop.
