The manual is pretty clear on how to do this, but you can also reference the HomeLink site at http://www.homelink.com/training/train.taf for more help.

Good Luck!

Homelink is easy to use unless you have a poo-poo garage door opener that doesn't recognize it

In the time it takes to respond with RTFM... you can just tell the person how to do it... It is really very simple, get your garage door opener, get in your X, press buttons 1 and 3 at the same time until they blink... then press 1 and your garage door opener at the same time, it'll blink rapidly... ur done.

If that doesn't work - RTFM

X5 garage door (rolling code) homelink setup

I read the manual, I searched the internet and forum, and followed every possible instructions, and still could not get it to work!!! It had worked before with previous X5. Maybe someone can help by providing any little details that may make a difference, like... how close does the car and the garage door "learn" button has to be? Does the ignition has to be turn on? etc... thanks. Anything, anything at all would be helpful...
