Range Rovers

Just went to go look at the new Range Rover Sport models.... The new Supercharged version of the Sport is going for 20k over sticker. The new Range Rover supercharged was going for 30k over sticker!!

(The naturally asperated models were going for sticker - no mark-up).

Stupid-tax......

$30k over sticker on a $90,000 car! Wow!

Yeah, the car had a 122k sticker. Unreal - just putting in a new engine and Brembo brakes....

But it was nice. (not 122k nice, but nice).

It's amazing they can charge that much over sticker and still sell them, especially considering gas prices, and how much gas the car will use! That thing probably doesn't get more than 12mpg or so... My dealer has had two X5 4.8's sitting on the lot for months, apparently because people don't want to buy a big gas guzzler. You'd think they'd be practically giving the big SUVs away.

Not where I live.... Here, you see big SUV's everywhere - they lay down money for these things like they are going out of style... unreal the amount of "over sticker" prices people are willing to pay out here.

SL55's were going for 10 - 30 over sticker when they first came and they were sold out.

interesting. At Paul miller land rover( the second largest LR dealer in the country), you can still order a supercharged one at MSRP, and 500 off the regular sport. Though that was a few weeks ago when i visited, things can change.

Not tossing any aerosol cans on the campfire, but I wouldn't buy one at list...I realize they are "popular", but not my bag, design-wise, espc. for the Mall trips they will see. Just my 2Cts.

Oh, it's a beautiful car! There is only one problem: It's a Range Rover.

I would not buy one, either. If I'm gonna spend that kind of money on an SUV, I'll stick with the X!

My biggest concern would be resale value and reliability. It sounds like it is a great driving car, capable offroad, and I think it is very nice looking. Interior is not as slick as the X5 IMO.

Amen

I feel the same way about Audi's. Not trying to flame but how many older Audi's do you see on the road . . . none.

I still routinley see old 2002ti's around. (the model not the year)

Would love to have one.
