PUSH BAR?
hey everyone just got my first X5 03 and I friggin love it. how do you guys feel about push bars and how they look? are the aftermarket pushbars to thick? they seem to stick out too far. If anyone has pics would be great.

Not a fan of the push bar on the X...looks like a retainer, IMHO. Besides, it's (the OEM bar) purely cosmetic and is NOT functional. Save your money for other mods.

I agree with DKL that the push bar is purely a non-functional, cosmetic accessory for the X5.
IMHO, if you decide to get a push bar anyway I think it'll look better if you get it painted to blend nicely to the color of your car. Otherwise, I think it sticks out like a sore thumb (like the chrome painted ones)--- even more so if you get a non-OEM push bar! Here are some photos of my black painted OEM push bar... ![]() ![]() ![]() For cosmetic reasons only, the push bar can still give your X5 a unique look since not very many X5 owners opt to buy this accessory. It comes down to personal preference.
