Whistle Installed chrome gauge rings and now ...

so i went ahead and installed the chrome gauge rings on my 04 X5 last night, but this afternoon on my way home from work, i suddenly noticed some dead pixels where it shows the time, and some on odometer.

do you think its caused by my installation?

does the goodwill program to replace instrument cluster with dead pixels still in effect?

im out of warranty now since i have 50,088 miles on it, bummer...

till its dark again... anyway, im happy for now and hope no pixel gives up

Jay,
From my experience once you unplug and re-plug the wiring on the back of the cluster, it somewhat gets distorted for a brief period and evrything normalizes after a short period of time. I hope your pixels will be okay. Post som pics. (sorry my PM box was full--but all cleared now)
