Help on HID Install on Highbeam with DRL

OK I have read all the articals on HID install however up here in Canada by law we have to have DRL. OK these DRL run off the hightbeam at a lower voltage or a pulsed current. I think I know how to bypass the headlight burnt out message (with a relay with a 1 ohm resistor). but I need to change the DRL from the highbeam to the lowbeam and keep the high from sending a pulsed current to the new HID lights.
Thanks,
Dbro
