brake concern

I noticed that when I come to a complete stop, there is a noticeable creak coming from my brakes. There is not change in performance. I also notice a slight grinding feeling along with the creaking when coming to a complete stop at times. Is this normal? Could it be grime? Thanks for all suggestions.

Pulls the wheels and look at the rotors for stress fractures or cracks...look at the pads to make sure you still have meat on them. What type of pads, calipers and rotors are you using? How old are the pads? Were the pads properly seated the last time they were replaced?

The brakes and rotors are factory, and are only a few months old, just had them replaced. I am not handy, and do not have the tools to remove the wheels, is there anything else I can look for? Thanks.
