X5 DVD Navigation question
I require a Navigation DVD for my 2006 X5 and it has the trunk mounted DVD module. I have been told that this type of trunk mounted system takes a different DVD than the front loading DVD navigation systems. Is this true? How do I know which DVD will work with it? I see all these ebay listings for "BMW NAVIGATION DVD" but they dont specify which model its for. Any ideas or list of part numbers that I can go with?
Also, how different is the 2007.2 DVD from the 2006.2 one? The price difference is almost half, are there significant differences or can I be a cheapskate and get the older DVD?

Yes, there are 2 formats - the in-dash and trunk version. I recommend you clarify with the seller prior to purchase which DVD your are buying - these vendors usually know whats up. I'm running a 2004 dvd... works fine in my area so no upgrade yet!
