Question Bumping Noise

Hi X5 fans, I am new to the sight but I like the info.
I have a 2002 X5 3.0 5 speed with 51K on the dash. I'm starting to here some bumping noise as if something is loose. Dealer checked it out but found nothing. Sound like control arms but can't tell. This is at all speeds, any Ideals or anyone had same problem.

You failed to mention where the noise is coming from. Assuming front end, probably control arms. Take your service manager for a drive to re-create the issue.

Ha what up, thanks for the reply already did that, When in the X5 sound coming from middle to front but can't quiet put finger on location. Put on rack check for loose anything, control arms and everything. No luck.

Yea. I have what appears to be the same noise. I'm already on my second set of cotrol arms and out of warranty. 01 X5

Check the sway bar links. Sometimes referred to as a swing support. Parts are about $30 each from the dealer. Not difficult to DIY either.
