Window Regulators

My driver side window went down and didn't want to go back up. I played with it a little and it returned to the top. It seems to work ok but is the regulator toast ?

Your problem is most likely to be the regulator. Cost varies between dealers, but normally runs in the $400-$500 range for a single regulator (parts and installation). You can probably work out a deal with your dealer to have them installed the interior door handle (with you paying for the part) - free installation since they already have the panel apart.

same thing happened to my driver's window. it is the regulator system. not the gearing but the frame mount clips. they are plastic and break over time.

since your window is in the up position, you have time to get it fixed on your time. i think the regulator cost is about ~$100-150??? i can't remember, but you can post for a price quote in the parts forum.

there are a few DIY's here on how to replace as well which are excellent and easy to follow, if you are so inclined. not very hard to do at all.
