03 e53 totaled

Hi, someone turned left in front of me at intersection. i was going straight. I swerved left to avoid collision but still hit the other car's rear passeger door. I was going at about 60km/hr, impacted at probably 50km/hr. damages at the right front side of the car. Insurance decided to total it.

My point is that the x5 is a great vehicle because i didn't feel a thing during impact. just a "bump" that's it.

Sorry to hear that. What's your replacement vehicle going to be?

Glad you are okay though! Sorry to hear, but at least it was a less-hassle "just total it" from the insurance company. Replacement will be another BMW I suppose?

(Pics would be mildly interesting if you have them btw)

it's a real bummer to lose a nice car like the X. But it's nice to know that you were protected so well. once in a while i think about selling mine and getting something a bit more economical but then i realize that those savings could cost my life or that of my wife and i come to my senses.
just out of curiosity, what did you hit and how did it fare? what did the other driver say, i didn't see the humongous X5 coming??
glad you're okay. that's the most important of all.

the other car was a honda suv. the honda driver was in a hurry, and didnt look thoroghly. its rear wheel went "diagonal" so i guess the rear axle was broken / bent.
