Angel Eyes and PDC interference

I've trawled through the past 6 months to see if I could find a definative answer on this issue.

I looked at these ;

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...EWA:PIC&ih=005

...but decided (after asking a few people that had installed them), to give them a very wide berth.

So.. eventually I'm going to source two 00-02 Xenon lamps and bake them open. Got one, and still looking for the second.

I've had good experience with Jlevi products in the past (did the Predator ICE upgrade on my E39), so I'm thinking about sourcing some CCFL halo lights from them.

So, to the question. Is the interference problem with the front PDC a common one, or is it generally only with the cheap Taiwanese imports. Do we know what actually causes it?

While I'm here, just incase someone knows this too. Could I actually source non-Xenon lights, and insert the inside of my xenons (having cut them open). Are the innards seperable from the shell.

Lastly, (sorry, but while I'm on a roll here ...) - Do I have to use RHD lights? I seem to recall there being a way to convert LHD to RHD quite easily on my E39.

If I've missed a previous thread on this PDC issue please forgive me and post a link.

Cheers.

Kev

Our halos don't cause interference, we narrowed it down to the ballasts and have redesigned them not to interfere with PDC. It was an issue of the old frequencies interfering with the PDC receivers.

So you supply ballasts with the Chromium kit, that makes sense. And there is a 1 year guarantee so should be ok...

I'm in that not-so-small minority of 2003 X5 owners that is forced to buy older headlight units just so I can bake them and fit your CCFLs.

If you have time, could you advise me if there is a tried-and-tested way of removing the waffles and still securing the CCFLS (without superglue). In doing so am I likely to dazzle oncoming drivers?

What's the delivered cost to the UK for a returning customer (group buy through solkatr on bmwland)? PM if you prefer.

Thanks if you can help.

Kev
