Heater not working, any ideas

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and am hoping someone will have the answer to my heating problem. I have a 2001 4.4 and find when the car is on the move I get heat through the vents but if I stop no heat comes thru, even with the fan turned up to max. I have checked the fuses and replaced the micro filter but still no fan.
Anyone have an idea of what I should check next?

You may be having trouble with your final stage resistor. There's a number of postings on this site that detail the sorts of problems it creates and also how to replace it.

Good luck

Replaced the FSR and we now have heat, one thing to remember if you have a right hand drive car the FSR is on the drivers side so no need to remove the glovebox as i discovered after I had removed mine.

Thanks for the advise.
