No, you can only get the BMW extended warranty if you are the original owner under the original warranty.

and if your talking about third party seller (i.e. Warranty Direct), yes, you can buy it anytime, cheaper if your still covered by the original warranty.
and yes again, bmw dealership should do the repairs and your warranty will pay them...

hmm.... i looked and it is pretty darn pricy at 3600 bucks for 2 yr. 24kmi from warranty direct. Think i will just diy and sell the car if anything catastrophic occurs.

Talk to your BMW dealer and see what possible costs are down the line, if it justifies the 3600, it might be worth it.
