Battery Or Alternator

Just recently started to notice that the lights, whether it is the head lights, interior lights, dash lights etc; seem to flicker ever so quaintly while I'm driving. I also noticed at times that when I start my X the battery light will flicker for a short time then disappear and also I cant leave my door or trunk open for more that 10mins as the battery will die out. So what do you guys think? I haven’t had anything tested yet as I haven’t really been driving it much and would prefer some advise here first.
