My X5 I just bought yesterday

Hi all,

I just got a X5 2005 4.4 and I was messing around with the code option and now I can't start the car. I have tried disconnecting the red battery cable in the front for 5 mnins and reconecting so the countdown can happen but when I turn the key to position 1 nothing happens. It asks for the code again, I don't remeber what i Set it to. Where is the actual battery? Is it in the back somewhere so I can disconnect it? I'm having a hard time getting this to reset and I don't want to have it towed like I read in the other threads.
