Loud Noise

I am wondering if anyone might be able help me before I go to the dealer tomorrow. When I hammer the throttle sometimes I hear a loud bang from under the vehicle but I'm unable to pinpoint exactly where it's coming from.

it could be worn engine mounts or a worn joint on the propshaft

Is it just before the engine downshifts? If so and you have an E53, auto tranny, its your tranny software. A few of us have experienced this and the solution was a software update.

It's when I put the peddle to the floor when I'm at a complete stop or at a slow roll.

The dealer told me that they thought it was the rear sub frame bushings.

Ajogu how much did it cost for them to do the software upgrade?

I don't remember how much but I do know it wasn't expensive. I'm guessing about $100.
I suggest you read the thread I mentioned above before you see your dealer. I had to force my dealer to do the upgrade after 3 visits.
