Did you try Kbb.com or Edmunds.com

I have no idea but I'd say 20-22..
HOW DO YOU KNOW HAVE 17,000 MILES? If that is the case I'd say 25-26 |

Thanks for the replies
As far as KBB etc., they don't seem to really consider unusual issues such as the very low mileage on my car. I think I may put it on ebay and see what that market indicates. Thanks again.

I would not expect any great increase in value for the low mileage - is it worth more than 100K mile auto?, yes but I would not expect too much more.
It's still a 6-7 yr old car and being a garage queen is not always a good thing. Just my opinion - good luck with the sale. |

Run a "True Market Value" at Edmunds. They seem to do a better job than KBB of taking things like mileage, condition, and the current market into account.
http://www.edmunds.com/used/2001/bmw...53/prices.html When you run the numbers you can make one pass with 17,000 miles and another with say 70,000 miles just to see the difference your low mileage will make in the market. FWIW - I just bought a 2004 last month and the market seems soft for X5's right now. (i.e. it's a buyers market, at least in SoCal). |

plugging in all your info to edmunds gives a price of $22-$24k.
But its worth excatly what someone will pay for it!! |

Also depends on what market you're trying to sell to. You might get more in California than in Alabama.

The market does seem a bit soft. I'm currently looking at a 2005 X5 4.4 non sport, but otherwise fully loaded (nav, panorama luxury package etc.) with 40,000 miles, and the price I negotiated was 33,000. Looking at Edmunds the price is closer to $38-40k... I think a lot of them are coming off lease here in CT, or with the new models the rich fairfield county denizens are upgrading
