You need to purchase separately from Bmw dealer the 4x rear fender flares for the 4.6 with running boards(about 169 usd each,I think!)Unless you can modify yoursel the rear fenders that come with the running boards?I believe one of our intuitive members has done this with great success!

You don't have to buy all 4 fender flares (2 rear + 2 front). Just buy the ones for the rear, though it looks real good with all 4.

Part numbers are:
COVER, WHEEL ARCH, REAR LEFT 51-71-7-051-035
COVER, WHEEL ARCH, REAR RIGHT 51-71-7-051-036
COVER, WHEEL ARCH, FRONT LEFT 51-71-7-051-037
COVER, WHEEL ARCH, FRONT RIGHT 51-71-7-051-038

And least, but not last, the infamous rivet gun from Napa for $25. It would be almost impossible without the gun, trust me.

Was under the impression you had to get both rear f.flares on either side!I understand now that you only need to get the rear f.flares that meet the running boards and no need to get the one on the rear bumper! Thanks for correcting me IFlyX5 and sorry for the misinfo Ton1333.

if you have a drummel (sp?) then you can keep your existing flares on the 4.6 and work the content of the running boards onto your car. my friends installed the boards for me and they ve been on the car for about 2 years without any problems. good luck!

Yes, You don't have to put the front ones, but as IFLY said they look nice and gives a complete look. This pic below from BMW has the front flares as welll but without r/b. I put on all four which you have probably seen.
