Hello All

I joined a few days ago to assist in my search for a 2004 4.4.

Couldn't find one for a price I thought was fair, so I ended up with a 2006 Sport.

Thanks to all the postings here, I was able to get a lot of good information that helped me.

So, now comes the challenges. Here are a couple questions for the veterans...

(1) I know many people probably love the 'new car smell'. So much so that many secondary market dealers probably "spray it in". After 3 hours driving though, I noticed that it gives me a headache. Any ideals (other than leaving the vehicle open all the time) as to how to get rid of it - or lessen it? I would have thought that by 2 years, the smell would be almost gone.

(2) The tires on the vehicle are shot - they are Michelins and they are god-awlful loud. (I have to admit that I have never liked the brand - they always seemed overpriced and over-rated.) Will a new set be much quieter? Or is there a better tire for the car that is smooth and quiet. I value a tire that is quiet and sheds water extremely well. Performace is far secondary for me.

Thanks again.
