Dealer wouldn't sell, dealer horror story

Here is a stroy about a dealer that wouldn't sell me a car becuase I wouldn't let them finance it.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TODAY.m238.lVI

I attempted to buy this X5 before I got the one in another post.
The price had been work out and the contract was being drawn up.
The dealer starts talking about how he may not be able to take my pre-approve bank check.

Long story short is I walk out and drive 30 miles down the road to another dealer and get the car in the other post for 1400 dollars less then what I was going to pay for the above car.

I thanked the dealer for saving me 1400 dollars.

Yes, it is there loss and my gain of 1400.
Plus I wasn't even looking at the X5, so they give me a chance to drive a car that wasn't even on the list.
So they did me two favors. I did send them a nice thank you note with a photo of the car I did purchase.

Are you sure you gained $1400? Details provided buy you:
-2001 (yours) < 2002 (dealer)
-73K miles (yours) > 66K miles (dealer)
-SP (yours) < PP (dealer)
-Bad CV boots (yours) < Good CV boots (dealer)
I dont think you gained anything from breaking that deal with previous dealer, you just get what you pay for. Anyway, congrats on the new purchase. X5 will be a lot of fun, and those star spoke wheels are on the facelift X5.

misprint

car is 02, just as the dealer is an 02 and the CV boots are fine. I can't speak for the CV boots on the dealer car. The dealer car also had a bad battery and had some missing trim pieces.
I like the SP over the PP.
The dealer broke the deal, by not taking the money and why should I give money to someone that is rude and insulting.
And yes 1400 cheaper is a deal.

sp options
- Sport suspension
- Sport steering wheel
- Star spoke wheels
- 255/55R18 performance
tires
- Light wood trim
- Sport seats
- Anthracite headliner
- White turn-signal indicators
&
side markers
- Shadowline
- Black chrome exhaust
- Unlimited top speed
- Titanium-colored grill in
bumper

PP options
- Moonroof
- Auto-dim mirrors
- Adjustable rear seat back
- Lumbar support
- Rain sensor
- On board computer
