Matt leather prob (blue hue!!!)

Hi all really need some advice, made the mistake of wiping my x5 matt leather in a small area with a interior leather wipe and as you would imagine it went shiny. I then used a mild (or so i thought!) handwash to remove the shine and the panel now has a distinct blue hue to it! Can you advise me what may have happened and how to remedy it???
