I know... but it does! As soon as I Turn the key to position 2 but don't start the car it shoots to the red. Even if it has sat for more than 12 hours.

IMHO You most likely have an electrical problem and it would be best to take it to a dealer or well equipped indy to have them troubleshoot your system. It could be as simple as a wiring short or as complex as a faulty ECM. Either way they are equipped to find the problem.

Sounds more like a problem with the sending unit then the thermostat. JMHO

FIXED!!! I reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery and holding the brake pedal down and then re-connected and its done! Thanks For all your help! You guys were great!
