The dealer did the control box replacement as part of a recall campaign. They ended up putting a different adapter harness on the old connector and a bigger control box, and zip tied it to the existing harness in the area below...I didn't have any issues with the car running hot, but apparently it was enough of an issue on the model to have it done anyway...

I would not use Simple Green under the hood not strong enough and can leave a bit of a film. Check this out:

It is sold by Phil of our very own Detailing Forum. Great Stuff!!! Very strong!!! Spray on... hit the underhood areas with a long handled brush to break up the grime and hose down.
