I had first problem with the temperature gage which points at red after the engine started for about 5 minutes. And when I re-started car, the temperature is at edge of the blue-white, too low. Clearly the water is not warmed up. I have reseted the computer, now, the gage temp lookes fine but the water temp is still not hot. the is car is 3.0 with 55k on it.

While you are in there check the water pump for leaks. My 3.0L lost the pump at 37K and the thermostat and housing were shot also.
