Help needed to remove tow bar hitch ball
I have just purchased an X5 and I am thrilled with it. It has a removable tow bar which I dont need and looks dreadfull. It looks like you twist the little wheel to remove it but that does not do anything. I have looked at the hand book and it states 'for attaching and removing the ball head see seperate instructions' which I dont seem to have. Can anybody help? Many thanks |

It will have a key - probably under the flap in the centre of the hand wheel. You have to unlock the wheel before you can remove the towbar, and (certainly on mine) the towbar has to be locked to remove the key. Therefore if there is no key in the slot, the bar is locked.
If you don't have the key(s), then you are probably stuffed, unless you got it from a dealer - then it should be there problem. |
