2004 vs 2005 X5 - major differences?

Hello all- hopefully things go right and I am the proud new owner of a x5 by the end of the year. Based on my price range I am looking into the 2004 or 2005 model. Can anyone tell me what differences are apparent btwn these two model years?
I have always liked the X5 and liked it even more when I found out that its considered a large SUV for tax purposes, which means a bigger tax break ...anyway any help will be appreciated.

I believe that all 04 -06 models are the same. Of course there are the different packages you can get. Sport pckg, premium pkg, cold weather pckg, etc.

Great thanks- does the 06 change in its body styling at all? If thats the case maybe I should get an 04 with all the perks ...I was concerned with changes in styling and body type. Damn I cant wait.

Early '04 models don't have pan roof.

04 -06 body style is exactly the same. Thats the beauty of it. Yes you might want to get a loaded 04. 04- 06 X5's are whats known as "face lifted" compared to the 00-03.

I think the '06 sport models had the rings around the gauges, and the 4.4i sport wheels (not the add-on 19" performance) were changed to a better look.

Not entirely true. You can have bluetooth if you choose to toss BMW Assist.

Early 2004 don't have dynamic xenon. I have an 06/04 and have both panoramic and dynamic xenon. Other than the differences mentioned above, no difference.
