2005 X5 Angel Eyes Upgrade + LED questions

All,

After a thorough search of the forums, I see that there are several options for upgrading the bulbs for my OEM Angel Eyes on my 2005 X5.

Apparently this is well-traveled ground, but a lot of the info I dug up was over a year old and it looks like there are brighter & more reliable options available.

From what I've seen, it looks like I could go the ebay route (bulbs usually around $100 with shipping), umnitza predator ice ($199) or angel ibright v3 ($299).

Can anyone shed a little light on what they've used recently, what worked well, and what didn't? Based on my research, there were brightness and fit issues initially as well as some random technical problems, but the discussion seems to have died down a bit as of late. Any and all updates would be most welcome.

Thanks again for the help. I've been coming to the forum a lot lately as I've just acquired my X and everyone has been most helpful.

Rob

p.s. has anyone upgraded their interior lights with LEDs? If so, how did that go? I'm also looking to do the same and possibly upgrade the reverse lights and side lights to LED as well.

xrob,
I bought a set of ibrights v1 (pictured below). The flickering issues remains, but I don't see it as a problem. The light output could be better, just compare it to my old coupe's Angel eyes. Considering the cost, the vendor's customer service has been dreadful. I would recommend JLevi, best of luck!

Go with either Predator Ice or Angelibrights. I personally have the PI for the last couple of years now and am very happy with it. The colour is great matching OEM HID's very well. Reliability has been excellent since there's been no problem at all. From what I see the A-ibrights may be a little more brighter.

Anyone else have the v2 or v3 ibrights? What about the high output Predator Ice? Any problems to report on the newer versions? Thanks again for the info and help.

We have had a lot of success with the Predator ICE. I'd highly recommend it from personal experience on an E39, E53 and now the E90. It's the only kit we carry for a reason, easy plug and play install and a very solid design.
