Faulty Valvetronic Levers and Shafts on my 4.8is, and now its leaking!!

So my X5 was at the dealer for 3 days. The Service Engine Soon light came on and cold start up was a bit jerky.

So they found that the valvetronic levers and shafts were faulty and replaced them. They also found the oil filler cap was bad, so they replaced that also. Now, I live about 10 minutes from the dealer, I picked it up right before the service department closes. The truck is parked for 1 hour in the driveway, and I go out and get a call from my wife saying that there is a good amount of oil on the driveway. So I go out to check the truck while Im out and its leaking fluid. Im now sure if its tranny oil though or engine oil. Im gonna have to check the engine oil level tomorrow to see if it went down. Im kinda upset with the dealer because Im sure it was leaking at the dealer too, but they didnt notice it as it was parked in their multi level garage waiting for pick up.

Any thoughts??

Also, besides checking the levels, how can I tell if its leaking oil or tranny fluid?
