Are you sure this would fit a 4.8is? Dinan doesn't even show an application for the 4.8is.

yes i am sure it will fit the 4.8, they all use the 62 block...the only difference would be injector sizing, i think the 4.8 uses a larger injector than the 4.6, but when going to the SC they should use the same larger injector, it would just be...say 20% larger than the 4.6 and 18% larger than the stock 4.8. (this is an example..not sure on the actually % difference)
like I said you would have to get the software upload from them, which they said would be easy, one day turn around and you would anyway so the VIR numbers match and dependng on where you live...you could find a DME tunner to fine tune it to your area...(you can be much more aggressive in MI or OKC that Phoenix. I will be "clearing" the Dinan program with a DME tuner...just my local repair shop, it will be flashed back to current updated, stock status. I didnt realize I could do this untill Dinan told me that what to do. As far as miles on the SC, there are about 70K on the "system"but the SC was just rebuild about 5K ago...It uses the Vortech V2 supercharger and Vortech offers this rebuild service on all of their stuff...there was nothing wrong with it and who knows if it needed it but they offer it...so it was done. It was pretty quick turn around, i had it done while i want out of town for a week, i did send red lable though as travel time is always a killer. It should be good for atleast another 60-70K ![]() as far as price....??? I dunno, it goes for like 16K new !!! gulp !!! I guess i would be looking for $5-6 K for it...it does come with the exhaust too ![]() thanks marc |

What else needs to be done to the engine to to things right? The SC and exhaust sounds like a good idea, but if I need to do a bunch of other rebuilding I'll need to plan all of that out.

It wont work on the N62 due to the valvetronic system.
