Check the level and color of the fluid in the power steering resevoir. If it is low or not bright red, and or replace it.

At the same time, take a look underneath at the power steering hose and see if you can find any obvious leaks. You may have to pull one of those goofy plastic shields off to inspect the whole hose. Those hoses are known to fail.

Do not let the 'no spot' theory lull you into a flase sense of security. The plastic and metal sheilds that cover nearly the entire underside of the engine bay will hold a huge volume of fluids (of any type) before they will spill over onto the ground. The power steering line leaks very slowly from the metal links that hold the rubber hose sections together. It need not be a fast leak to give you these noises.

I would pull the plastic shield off the area below the front end and check for myself. You will be starring right at the hose in question.
