Question Control Arm + Balljoint Failure Symtoms
Off lately (2-3 weeks), I have noticed than when Im in the X5 and take a turn moderately fast I can feel a vibration. Its really bad, when its over slightly un-smooth pavement; I can feel something inside the steer-column rattling/moving around. It's really a disturbing feeling because I can feel something shaking at the end of the steering column. There is also inter-mittent vibration when driving straight. Could these be signs of failing Control Arm or Balljoint Failure?

It is possible that you are experiencing bad controls or ball joints but just for piece of mind, I would check the lug bolt torque on your wheels.

I experienced the same thing on my van last year. Ball joints. Not something you want to put off doing.
